Who are you?
I am Mehdi Mohabipour, born in 1982 in Sari city, Iran. I have been a professional photographer for 8 years and I work with a local news agency. Personally, I love nature and wildlife photography, and environmental issues are very important to me.
How would you define your style?
I am self-taught in the field of photography and I entered the professional world with interest, practice and perseverance, and in the last few years I have been successful in dozens of international festivals and have received many awards, the most famous of which is the
Environmental Photographer of the Year award in 2022.
Tell us about your winning creation.
I have been photographing the Miankaleh wetland for five years and I have experienced many good and bad days. Unfortunately, this wetland is being completely destroyed and needs help. The issue of climate change and global warming is very important and is a serious threat.

Interview with the winner
I am Qais Musafer, born in Kabul, Afghanistan, in 1987. Studied photojournalism at Aina Photo Agency Training Center in Kabul in 2010. Worked as a photographer assistant at DHSA from 2012 to 2016, capturing images for media like Killid Magazine and Mursal Magazine. Due to security issues, I became a refugee and moved to New Delhi, India in 2018.
How would you define your style?
I would like to showcase the realities of my country through photography, including aspects like nature, culture, poverty, education issues, construction, destruction, children’s challenges, and women’s rights.
Tell us about your winning creation.
