About the author
Portrait and street life photographer based in Lahore, Pakistan.
Interview with the winner
Who are you?
I’m from Lahore, Pakistan, and I currently reside there. I’m mainly interested in photography as it is my passion, and I love playing football as well since childhood. My aspiration is to aid people through my work and uncover the stories of those regions and individuals who are unable to advocate for themselves. I aim to become their voice.
How would you define your style?
My style is “people life photography” where I aim to capture the raw and genuine emotions of everyday individuals. I enjoy listening to their stories and understanding the emotions they carry, which becomes the foundation of my expression. I have learned a great deal from Sir Abdul Rehman.
Tell us about your winning creation.
I remember it was dawn, and the railway station was filled with an anxious silence. In the midst of it, I noticed a man sitting alone in the train cabin, relishing his solitude. He transformed that silence into a peaceful ambiance. Capturing such a moment becomes challenging when you are aware it is a public space. However, my dedication and unwavering patience for finding the perfect subject make me consider going for it.

About the author
Interview with the winner
I’m Tanvir Ahmed, and I reside in Lakshmipur, a district in Bangladesh. I have a profound passion for photography because it allows me to capture and create something entirely new. Photography has always held a special place in my heart, and it continues to inspire me.
How would you define your style?
Photography holds a special place in my heart as it allows me to express myself artistically. I am particularly drawn to the works of many talented photographers in Bangladesh, including Abdulmomin. Moreover, my cousin, Mohammad Mehedi Hasan, has been a constant source of motivation and encouragement for me in pursuing my passion for photography.
Tell us about your winning creation.
I captured this photograph of myself in Mymensingh, a division of Bangladesh that I visited during winter. During my time there, I had the opportunity to embark on a train journey along a track built over a river. The surroundings were enveloped in a captivating blanket of fog, adding to the mystical ambiance of the place. Despite the weather conditions, I was fortunate enough to come across a lone individual walking along the road. It was in that serendipitous moment that I captured this striking image.
Why do you like Agora Awards?
I highly recommend checking out Agora, as it is undoubtedly the most exceptional photography community I have ever come across. The insightful perspectives on photography, particularly from this platform, have been a constant source of inspiration for me.
